GrabOpener®
What Makes the GrabOpener Special?
GrabOpener reimagines how we interact with the objects we use. Instead of being held and used to pry, like most bottle openers. It simply removes the cap as the bottle is picked up. This approach challenges how we understand the way hand-tools work; making it feel miraculous to use. This patented design is revolutionary for many amputees, stroke victims and others with impairments.
GrabOpener's solution for ergonomics and accessibility has garnered international recognition. It has received a Global Innovation Award from the International Housewares Association, a Best New Product from NY NOW, and it has been featured in the book, Ergonomics in Product Design. It is endorsed by the Foundation for Professional Ergonomics.
All You Need is a Firm Grip

PLEASE FOLLOW THE SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS on the card included with your GrabOpener, or the instructions on the demo video.
All it takes is a simple, one-handed grab to open your bottle. Put your index finger partially in the ring with your middle finger on the tail, leaving it loose. With your hand open, bringing it down over the top of the bottle. The magnet will draw the hook into place under the cap. Wrap your thumb around the bottle and gently squeeze as you pick up the bottle. This will pop the cap off, quick and easy.
Trust the Opener..
If it's your first time trying a GrabOpener, you have to let go. To use it as designed, let go of how you're used to using hand-tools.
It's designed not to be held, so DON'T grasp the opener. Place your pointer-finger in the ring and let your naughty finger rest on the trigger.
Free your mind and your hand. DON'T try to manipulate it. Leave it loose on your finger and let go. It's magnet will line it up on the cap without your help, thank you.
SQUEEZE the bottle as you pick it up...one-handed!
POPS the cap off clean in one motion.
